Types of Mah Jongg Games
Classic Shanghai Solitaire
Tile matching games known as Shanghai Solitaire where the general objective is to match two identical tiles, or in some cases tiles of the same suit, and remove them from the board. Tiles can only be matched if there is no other one on top, and there is no other tile on the left or the right side.
Original - Traditional
Games closely related to Traditional version, and games with simplified rules. These games are played with 3 or more players. In this case the real players are represented by a computer program. Create various combinations of tiles including identical ones, tiles of the same suit, and tiles from the same suit arranged in numerical order. The player that manages to get rid of all tiles wins the game.
Link & Connect
In these games the matching rules (in this case connecting rules) are different from other versions of the game. The object is to connect (link), two identical tiles that are not more than three uninterrupted straight lines away from each other. Some of the games are timed with a goal to clear the board of all tiles.
Other Variations
In this type the rules differ a bit from the classic version. You need to match two identical tiles that have at least one horizontal and one vertical side free instead of tiles that have left or right side free and are not covered.
